Other ANWR glaciers being studied

Okpilak Glacier. A 1906 photo documents that the ice filled this moraine completely at that time.


Bravo Glacier. Note the strong contrast in ice coverage from north facing (right) to south facing (left) slopes.


Schwanda Glacier. A pretty one, with an unusually steep terminus.


Arey Glacier. This glacier crosses several geological units.


Hanging Glacier. McCall Glacier ice can be seen at lower right. Note that a fresh snow in this August photo sticks preferentially to the ice and melt quickly from the rock.


Krisscott Glacier. A simple glacier that faces due North. Perhaps my favorite.


Okpilak West Glacier. Looks kind of like a seagull when viewed sideways.
