26 December 2005 (4 months 2 weeks)

It wasnt long before Santa's big day was here. We spent Christmas Eve with the neighbors. Normally, one would sit on Santa's lap and ask for presents, but this year it worked a little differently.

Santa: "Were you a good boy this year?"

Santa: "You were a very good girl this year, so you get this drool covered present."

We got back home to find Santa under our tree -- 2MB

Santa: "So there I am at 30,000 feet over the Arctic Ocean and Donner spots a bunny in Fairbanks and takes off after it, and here we are..."

Santa: "You caught me! I guess I'll just have to sit here and look pretty!"

Santa: "Your first present is -- me sitting up on my own!"

He was so cute, we just kept taking pictures. Then couldn't decide which were the best, so put them all here.

Santa: "OK, where's my cookies and milk?"

Santa: "You were good parents this year -- so you get ... me!"

Santa: "Now what do I get?"

Santa: "Blue wrapping paper -- my favorite flavor!"

Santa: "You mean there's something in here?"

Santa: "You want me to sit up AND open presents?"

Santa: "Nope -- it's one or the other"

Santa: "OK, I'll just sit here and look pretty again"

Santa: "For my next present, I'll stand. Ta-Da! (but dont let go...)"

Santa: "It's party-time, baby Santa style. Ho Ho Ho hee hee hee!"

Santa: "Yes you've been a good girl too, so you ... can hold me and love me. As long as I can pull on your hair."

Kristin: "Now all we need are some little elves to help you next year..."

Christmas Day we began opening presents before sunrise, after sleeping in until about 10:30AM. We had a nice quiet day at home, opening presents, eating Christmas pizza (mashed potatos, cranberry sauce, turkey, etc), playing with our new toys, and enjoying each othes' company.

We would have slept even longer, but Turner was too excited to learn what Santa brought him...

Dad: "We could save a lot of money by just wrapping empty boxes for him next year..."

Turner: "Clothes again? What about this shiny stuff? Can I eat it?"

Hey, those are my ribbons! -- 2.6MB

He got a lot of outdoors stuff this year. Apparently there is not much of a market for cold weather gear for little people, as it pretty tough to find.

Turner: "OK dad, let's either go for a ski or knock over a 7-11, because I'm getting hot."

Merry Christmas!
